IMPORTANT UPDATE on Library Book Returns !

Standard

One of the most popular questions we have been getting the past week is ‘How do I return my Library books ?’ There are currently three options right now:

1. If you are on campus packing up your dorm Monday – Friday from 9 am – 2:30 pm, you can drop them off at the library, which will be staffed weekdays from 9 am – 3 pm.

2. If you are on campus packing up your dorm Saturdays and Sundays, there will be a clearly marked bin outside our loading dock doors (facing the AIC building) which you can deposit all your borrowed books (no tech items, please!) .

3. If you can’t take advantage of the first two options, you can leave your borrowed books and tech items in your dorm, and Res Life said they will be collecting the items and returning them to the Library.

Under NO circumstances can you return your Bookstore ‘rentals’ to the Library – you must return them yourself to the Bookstore. We are not responsible for returning your loans to the bookstore. No exceptions!!

If you have any questions, please feel free to call the Library at 401-232-6125 (Monday – Friday, 9 am – 3 pm) or chat with a librarian in the chat box on our homepage.

There’s just a few weeks left before finals start…if you’re a student or a professor, and you anticipate needing books from other libraries before finals, please order your books without delay! Requests can take up to two weeks for processing and delivery – so the sooner you order, the better chance you will have of getting your books promptly. Remember – always order a hard-copy, since E-Books can’t be borrowed from other libraries.

‘Dear Evan Hansen’ and ‘Be More Chill’ will happily bring you back to High School…

Standard

Two of the biggest Broadway sensations – ‘Dear Evan Hanson’ (Nov. 2016) and ‘Be More Chill’ (March 2019)  – are now available at our Library. If you’ve seen the musical, you will want to read the book – and if you read the book, you’ll run to see the musical!

‘Dear Evan Hanson’ is penned by original playwrights Benj Pasek and Justin Pau, who transfer their Tony Award winning musical about the emotional ups and downs in families, high school and relationships into this new ‘must-read’ novel.

Ned Vizzini is the writer behind ‘Be More Chill’, which follows the high school days of self-described ‘dork’ Jeremy Heere who swallows “the squip” one day,  which transforms Jeremy ‘from geek to the coolest guy in class’. The novel (written in 2004) has become a an off-Broadway musical sensation, and transfers to Broadway in March 2019. Sure to be a Tony winner in 2019!
