One of the most popular questions we have been getting the past week is ‘How do I return my Library books ?’ There are currently three options right now:
1. If you are on campus packing up your dorm Monday – Friday from 9 am – 2:30 pm, you can drop them off at the library, which will be staffed weekdays from 9 am – 3 pm.
2. If you are on campus packing up your dorm Saturdays and Sundays, there will be a clearly marked bin outside our loading dock doors (facing the AIC building) which you can deposit all your borrowed books (no tech items, please!) .
3. If you can’t take advantage of the first two options, you can leave your borrowed books and tech items in your dorm, and Res Life said they will be collecting the items and returning them to the Library.
Under NO circumstances can you return your Bookstore ‘rentals’ to the Library – you must return them yourself to the Bookstore. We are not responsible for returning your loans to the bookstore. No exceptions!!
If you have any questions, please feel free to call the Library at 401-232-6125 (Monday – Friday, 9 am – 3 pm) or chat with a librarian in the chat box on our homepage.
Starting the week of May 13, and continuing on through the end of August, you will notice our library hours have changed to accommodate the Summer Session here at Bryant. The link to our hours can be found below, so please check it out on a regular basis for seasonal adjustments throughout the Spring and Summer!
Did you know that any overdue items on your account or any outstanding fines can prevent you from accessing your final grades this semester? Before you leave for winter vacation, take a moment and check your account. Return any items which are over-due (or will be due) while you’re away – including Athletics Collection books – and settle any fines on your account. This way, you will have no trouble getting your final grades.
If you have any outstanding items on your account – from books to phone chargers to dry erase markers – you will be “billed and blocked” from getting your actual diploma if you’re a graduate and/or your final grades for the semester. DONOTWAIT until May 17 – May 19 to clear this up, as the closer to Graduation / end of the semester the longer it will take to go through all proper channels to take the block off. It won’t be an immediate remedy, so PLEASE check your bookbags, dorm rooms, cars, etc and bring everything back to the library ASAP. Clear your account today!
FYI: You may want to book your Study Room in the Library NOW, before all the rooms and most popular times are taken forExam weeks. It’s easy to do – you can reserve on the iPad in the Library near the Circ Desk, or do it on your own computer – just check out the Study Room Reservations link on the front of the library homepage and follow the EZ directions. Just remember the Rule of “3” – at least 3 people need to be in your study group to reserve a room! White Boards and other amenities are available in most rooms.
