Study Rooms in Bello Center: April 30-May 4, 2018
We are upgrading the wireless monitor system in the study rooms this week, during normal business hours (8:30-4:30). We will do our best to have as many rooms open and available during this time, however, rooms cannot be booked by students until after 4:30pm each day. Evening study room operations will continue normally and rooms can be booked.
As the technicians replace the monitors, it is possible your group may be asked to relocate to another room or area of the library to complete this project in a timely fashion. We are excited about this project as the monitors have become an issue and this will allow you all to have dependable equipment in the rooms for finals and when you return in the fall!
If anyone has questions or concerns please speak to Laura Kohl, Director of Library Services: firstname.lastname@example.org or 401-232-6298
We appreciate your cooperation and patience during the upgrade!
A very important week is upon us all – it’s the “Fair Use / Fair Dealing” week which runs from February 26 – March 2, 2018. It’s a week coordinated by the Association of Research Libraries, celebrating the importance of fair use in the United States and fair dealing in Canada and other jurisdictions. In it’s simplest terms, “fair use” and “fair dealing” are the legal use of copyrighted materials without permission from the copyright holder under certain circumstances – something students and educators deal with on a daily basis. For more information and ideas on how you can be an active participator, please visit their site: Association of Research Libraries
Have you checked out our new video game nook near the BServ desk and Laptop? We have a RetroPie available for checkout that has over 175 games from the Atari, NES, and SNES systems, including Pacman, Tetris, and Super Mario Bros. The RetroPie is available for a 3 day checkout (and can’t be renewed), and just requires a TV or monitor and an HDMI cable to use. Come visit our display and check it out for some weekend gaming!

We often get requests from people who just want to see a list of what we have in our board game and DVD collections, but the catalog doesn’t always make that easy. We’ve taken some of the guesswork out of it for you, though, and figured out the searches necessary to display the titles in these collections, and in alphabetical order for easier perusal to boot.
